Replica Watches…The Less Expensive Alternative?

By admin | Jul 14, 2010

An expensive watch is definitely a status symbol of the rich and famous, and anyone who’s ‘someone’ must be seen to be wearing the latest (or vintage) edition of Cartier, Hublot, or TAG Heuer etc.

For most of us though, and with the current recession biting deep, we can only dream of having one of these beautiful works of art adorning our wrist. But we too can wear Breitling, Panerai, and U-Boat – if we purchase imitation horologes.

Replica’s used to be thought of as cheap fakes made in a sweat shop somewhere, and knocked out on market stalls for a couple of dollars. You’d get them home, and all the ‘gold’ would peel off in a few days, and you’d be left with something that you could only throw in the dustbin. Not so nowadays though.

The quality of today’s replicas is truly outstanding, and they’re almost indistinguishable from the real thing. More importantly though, the caliber of materials used is now extremely high, and the watch movements are of a superb standard, with precision guaranteed. They’re no longer seen as a ‘cheap copy’, but more as a less expensive alternative.

After all, whether your choice is for the smart Italian styling of Panerai or U-Boat, the Swiss precision of Breitling or TAG Heuer, or just the sheer luxury and prestige of Cartier or Omega, you can have one of each if you buy replica watches! With prices typically below $600, and with some as low as $100, they’re still not everyday items, but for a birthday or anniversary present, you’d be giving that special someone a touch of style, luxury, and prestige.

Or maybe you could treat yourself, to what will rapidly become a treasured and well worn possession. With a price tag in the low hundreds, instead of thousands – why not?
